This publication discusses the most famous German tank of World War II, the PzKpfw VI Sd Kfz 181 ‘Tiger’ Ausf. H1/E.
The study focuses on issues related to the tank's construction, while it does not contain information on its combat use, as data on this subject has been presented in other studies, e.g. ‘Tigers in combat’ [Wydawnictwo Militaria, 2009 2013].
The publication contains data on the development of the tank design: prototypes: Porsche Type 100 and VK 30.01(H) and VK 36.01 (H), pre-series tanks VK 45.01 (H) and VK 35.01 (P) and series tanks, and also contains a detailed technical description. The book is illustrated with numerous photographs, tank plans and colour charts showing examples of painting and markings.
